Where is Yiwu?
Yiwu City is located in the central part of Zhejiang Province, China. Its east longitude is 119°49′~120°17′, and its north latitude is 29°02′13″~29°33′40″. Dongyang in the east, Yongkang and Wuyi in the south, Jinhua and Lanxi in the west, Zhuji and Pujiang in the north. From the county to Dongyang County by road, 78 km to Yongkang County, 71 km to Wuyi County, 55 km to Jinhua City, 35 km to Pujiang County, 55 km to Zhuji County, 158 km to Hangzhou, the provincial capital. The total area is 1105.46 square kilometers.

Topography and Landform:

Yiwu city is surrounded by mountains in the east, south and north. There are middle and low mountains, hills, hillock and plains in yiwu city. The soil types are diverse and the light and heat resources are rich. It is a typical hilly county with diverse geomorphological structure. Northeast mountainous areas include the whole Dongtang township and hawthorn forest, Qiaoxi, Huaxi and other townships in the middle and low mountain areas. The area of middle and low mountains and hills accounted for 62.7% and 33.3% of the total area respectively. The main peaks were above and below 900 meters above sea level. The steep slopes above 25 degrees and the slopes between 15 and 25 degrees accounted for 89.78% of the total area.

Yiwu's foreign economy:

In 2018, Yiwu achieved a total import and export of 256 billion yuan, an increase of 9.4%. Among them, exports amounted to 252.16 billion yuan, an increase of 9.4%, while imports amounted to 3.85 billion yuan, an increase of 10.2%. General trade exports grew rapidly. General trade realized export value of 478.9 billion yuan, an increase of 19.1%, accounting for 18.99% of the total export; market procurement trade export value reaches 203.73 billion yuan, an increase of 7.6%, accounting for 80.8% of the total export value of the city. In the year, 946 new foreign investment projects were approved, an increase of 29.8%, while the actual utilization of foreign investment was 147.3017 million dollars, a decrease of 29.3%. Fourteen new overseas investment enterprises were approved throughout the year, with a cumulative investment of 37.277 million dollars, of which 36.666 million dollars were invested by the Chinese side.
